The Blues Brothers movie was released in 1980. It was directed by John Landis and features one of the most epic police chases ever filmed. For some time it held the record for most ever cars trashed in a movie. It follows Jake and Elwood otherwise known as The Blues Brothers. Jake is released from prison and is met outside by his brother.

There’s 106 miles to Chicago, we’ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark out, and we’re wearing sunglasses.

There are dozens of stars appearing in the film. Such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles and the amazing John Lee Hooker. The soundtrack is well worth a listen too. The film introduced me to a whole new genre of music. I now regularly listen to The Blues. And soul music from Sam and Dave. Jake and Elwood thank you for expanding our musical horizons.
