Quiz — Wigan Dialect — can you work out what the heck they are saying?

The Wigan Dialect is also known as Wiganeez. I’ve lived in Wigan over 30 years now so you could say I’ve gone native. I am unofficially A Pie Eater. Even I have noticed that the Wigan dialect is getting diluted every year.

Probably due to the fact that people move around a lot more now due to trains and cars. I can imagine the Wigan dialect must have been really strong 100 years ago.

When I first moved here there was an old geezer over the road. I could hardly understand a word he said. It took me a couple of years to get used to what seemed to me to be a different language. Some 25 years later I don’t even notice the accent any more. In fact, I use the greeting “Alreet” on a regular basis.
